What’s the Quality of Meat in Years Meals?Updated a day ago

At Years, we take pride in using only the finest cuts of meat — the kind you'd recognise from your own kitchen.

🥩 Premium Cuts, Just Like Nature Intended

We use prime muscle cuts like forequarter steak, chicken, and turkey thigh, paired with nutrient-rich organ meats such as beef heart, turkey heart, and pork liver. These are the types of meats dogs would naturally seek out in the wild, offering:

  • A full spectrum of amino acids
  • Healthy fatty acids
  • Essential vitamins and minerals

This variety supports your dog’s overall health, energy, and wellbeing.

🚫 No Processed or Mystery Meats

You may have heard the term “human-grade” used in pet food marketing — but it’s not always what it seems. While it sounds reassuring, “human-grade” simply means the ingredient could be used in a human meal. In reality, it often refers to mechanically separated or heavily processed meat.

We steer clear of:

  • Mechanically separated meat
  • Heavily salted or pasteurised proteins
  • Ground or minced meat with no clear origin

Instead, we specify the exact cuts we use — no vague labels like “meat meal” or “minced chicken.”

👀 How to Spot Quality Meat

You’ll see the difference in every tray:

  • Natural texture with visible muscle fibres
  • Rich, appetising colour
  • Clearly identifiable cuts — not a grey paste or mush

It looks like real food because it is real food.

🐟 Sustainably Sourced Fish

We only use fish caught at sea — never farmed salmon — and we partner with certified sustainable fisheries. We use main body cuts and avoid all by-products. Plus, our wholefood and superfood ingredients are locally sourced for freshness and traceability.
