Did you really make Easter Eggs for dogs?!Updated 20 days ago
We really did! Our limited-edition Years Easter Eggs are here — and yes, they're every bit as exciting as the ones you'll be hiding from yourself in the back of the cupboard.
🥚 Is this ‘real’ chocolate?
Nope, as typical chocolate is not safe for dogs. Our Easter eggs are cocoa-free. Instead they are made with carob, a naturally dog-safe ingredient that looks and feels like chocolate but contains none of the theobromine that makes real chocolate dangerous for dogs.
🍖Who is Barry Colenso?
Barry is a master chocolatier and expert on all things chocolate. In a career that has spanned over 40 years, he has worked as a Head of Patisserie at a top London hotel, Master Chocolatier at Thorntons and made cakes for royalty, being the man behind the chocolate wedding cake created for Prince William & Catherine Middleton’s wedding.
🍌What flavours are included?
You get three eggs in each box:
🍓Berry Shortbread (freeze-dried raspberry with fruity shortbread pieces)
🥥Coconut Berry (dried coconut with freeze-dried strawberry)
🥜 Nutty 'Nana (crushed peanuts with banana slices).
Three eggs, three very different tail wags.
🥜Does it contain any allergens?
Yes, the Nutty 'Nana egg contains peanuts, and the product as a whole is flagged as containing nuts.
If your dog has a known nut-sensitivity, this one's best avoided.
These eggs are not made with cocoa and made with carob instead which is safe for dogs
🐶How should I feed the egg to my dog?
We recommend that you don't give a whole egg in one go.
Break it into smaller pieces and feed according to your dog's size.
Remember, treats should make up no more than 10% of your dog's daily calorie intake, so think of this as a special Easter moment rather than a meal replacement.
📅When will I receive these Easter Eggs for my dog?
At the moment you can order as a one-off purchase - but you will be able to add one to your subscription from next week (week commencing March 23rd)
