Our tray design is the result of a lot of hard work trying to perfect our cooking, packing, portioning and storage methods.The unique, sectioned design has 4 benefits:

1. The sectioned trays are much more sustainable that the old version.

With the new design, we reduced packaging by a massive 52%! 

The trays are 100% recyclable and also made from 30% recycled materials.

They enable us to cook with 60% less water waste.

2. Reduced processing time and improved transit-packaging.

By dividing the trays into 7 sections we can provide personalised portion sizes for all dogs, from the smallest who need less than 100 calories a day, to the largest breeds who need more than 2000!

Our unique tray design means we can go from prepping to cooking, to packing and delivery very quickly - for all dogs - so our meals are fresher for everyone!
If all meals were in single-serve trays the plastic usage and the packaging needed to ship them all safely would be much more expensive and would require a lot more packaging material!

3. You can see and smell the ingredients!

 Years food looks like freshly cooked meals because they are! The short-duration, low-temperature cooking also means your dog's meals are never reduced to a brown mush! And when you open a tray you get that yummy, fresh Years aroma that our customers love!

4. Most importantly, the unique design of our trays means we can provide even better nutrition for your dog.

 The current trays enable a quicker distribution of steam, resulting in a 63% reduction in cooking times at a lower temperature. Quicker, lower-temperature cooking means more micronutrient retention, and ensures your dog is getting maximum nutrition!

We COULD make the trays more convenient but that would mean compromising on the quality of the food and the quality of the nutrition our dogs get every day - and that's something we will never do.
